One of my favorite composition. Emoting the pangs of the Nayika who has been away from her beloved Krishna. She had been separate for so long that she almost forgot his face. Thus she laments her helplessness to her sakhi.
The heart has still not forgotten the love, alas how can I forget that memorable face?
My eyes could see his figure bu his beauty is incomplete in it,
When I get to imagine his face I am not able to remember his blooming smile.
Bees that has refrained the honey; Flowers that forgotten the splendor of light; Crops that have forgotten the sky never exist in this world
What is the use of having these eyes, If I forget the face of Lord Krishna? I do not even have his portrait, And now what is the way to live?
