Commissioned to initially make a sketch model of an 1850 Gouda to highlight the current restoration project of the donkeresluis, this project grew to a model that has many local landmarks past and present included. The context is the current restoration of the donkeresluis and the scheuren process which in times past would cleanse the waterways of the city with a clever and detailed carefully timed opening and closing of the lock-gates. The first stage for us is to make the animation by the end of January 2011 and then to make the model available online in greater detail in February.
