Şebnem Ferah (born 12 April 1972) is a renowned Turkish singer, songwriter, composer, and guitarist. She began her music career as the lead vocalist of the all-female hard rock band Volvox and later pursued a successful solo career. Known for her unique blend of pop rock and hard rock, Şebnem became one of the most prominent female rock artists in Turkey.

Born in Yalova to ethnic Turkish immigrant parents from Skopje (now in North Macedonia), Şebnem’s early love for music was nurtured by her father, who taught her various instruments. She formed her first band, Pegasus, in high school and later founded Volvox in 1988 with four friends, which gained prominence in the Turkish rock scene.

After Volvox disbanded in 1994, Şebnem embarked on her solo career. Her debut album, "Kadın" (1996), introduced her powerful vocals and emotional depth, with songs like "Vazgeçtim Dünyadan" becoming instant hits. Her later albums, such as "Perdeler" and "Kelimeler Yetse", further solidified her reputation for blending traditional Turkish music with contemporary rock elements.

Şebnem’s music often delves into themes of love, heartbreak, and introspection, resonating deeply with her audience. Her live performances, particularly her "10 Mart 2007 İstanbul Konseri", are legendary for their emotional intensity and connection with fans. Over the years, she has earned numerous awards and continues to inspire generations of Turkish musicians.

Despite her fame, Şebnem remains private, focusing on her music as a form of self-expression. Her powerful voice and innovative style have made her an enduring figure in Turkish rock.
