20 years in the mortal man's life is the period of time when learning takes place.
20 years in a band's life is the time of paving the way to self-definition.

Not many things are known about Transylvanian Siculicidium, nor about the performers behind it,
but what is sure is that Siculicidium undisputedly built its own musical brand of strange, 'eastern' bona fide black metal.
The veritable fusion of first and second wave primeval black metal, doom, punk and sometimes country gothic folk jumbled with the wretched,
sepulchral vocals and the sometimes unusual apparition of trumpets, jew's harp, keys, all these became well-known trademarks of the band.

"20 years of Resistance" is not just a hint to "Transylvanian Resistance" - the band's first demo released 20 years ago,
but a staring into the abyss of this strange beast.

This is not by any chance a "best of" compendium of selected hits, not even close.
20 unconventional recordings from the 20 years of existence, a look behind the curtain, a glance into the forbidden crypt.
Most of the songs are unreleased ones, mainly from the early days,
but the are also few songs from limited 7" vinyl releases.

Even in the first raw demo recordings there is a 'presence', a kind of calling,
a strong urge of designing authentic black metal craft.

The physical format will follow the digital release in Spring 2024 with a very special package combination:
limited cassette with a special issue of the Fekete Terror zine, dedicated exlusively for Siculicidium.

With 20 years in the run, Siculicidium looks to the coming times and with a fair amount of brand new music recorded, new releases will come in the near future.
