Pro-shot footage from "Dreamgirls," 1983 Shubert Theatre, Los Angeles, with full original Brpadway staging and design. The cast is headed by Lillias White (who replaced Jennifer Holliday in L.A.), Linda Leilani Brown, Larry Riley, Lawrence Clayton, Clinton Derricks-Carroll, Deborah Burrell, and Arnetia Walker. This features the new second-act opening created for L.A. and subsequently put into the Broadway version.
