Rad Factory Ebike Hack, Part 3. Adding Regenerative Braking with a Welded Clutch

Описание к видео Rad Factory Ebike Hack, Part 3. Adding Regenerative Braking with a Welded Clutch

In the 3rd part of our factory ebike mod video we show how you can add regen braking to an ebike that originally had a geared hub motor that freewheels. Please see the first two videos to see how we got the bike bike to this stage.

Part 1 - Upgrading the motor controller    • Interfacing Parts on Factory Ebikes, ...
Part 2 - Adding torque sensing bottom bracket    • RadRunner hack Part2, Adding a Torque...

Although those were on a Radrunner and this is a Radmini, the exact same modifications were in place at the start of this video.

As per previous posts in this series.
1) No, we don't offer any services to upgrade more modify factory ebikes and have no interest in that regardless of how much you are willing to pay us. We present this info for the adventuresome people who love a good DIY project and the satisfaction that comes with it. Our business is purely about making and supplying rugged hub motor conversion kits for non-electric bicycles.

2) If this seems complicated or outside your skill zone, then we are in no way suggesting you should attempt it, even if the end results are appealing.

3) Obviously by pursuing mods like this you are voiding any and every warranty and need to take full ownership of your project. Not that many generic factory ebikes have much meaningful warranty to begin with.
