Описание к видео How much milk should I pump at 2 1/2 weeks postpartum?

You wanted to know how much milk you should be pumping 2 1/2 weeks postpartum. And first of all, congratulations on the recent delivery of your baby. And the amount of milk that you pump is going to vary slightly from mother to mother, but generally speaking, newborns drink 2 to 3 ounces about every 2 to 3 hours or so, but sometimes they want to eat more frequently than that, like every hour. And if that's the case, then they may drink less, [but] more frequently during each 24 hour period.

When your baby goes through growth spurts (which are actually common at 2 weeks after birth), then you may also notice that your baby's intake increases, and so, again, it can vary a little bit, but about 2 to 3 ounces every 2 to 3 hours is typical. The numbers aren't as important as the signs are that your baby is getting enough to drink. So if your baby is having at least 6 wet diapers a day, regular bowel movements, and gaining the appropriate amount of weight as determined by your baby's doctor, then things are going well. If you have concerns or questions about any of these things, then talk with your baby's doctor, and they'll be able to give you tailored information and advice. Good luck with everything, and if you have more questions for me in the future, feel free to ask them on our Facebook page at   / intermountainmoms  , and recommend us to your friends and family too.
