Dr. Dog's third and most recent album, Fate, has been spinning constantly at my house. Fate seems to be the effort in which Dr. Dog brings their many influences together into their own true sound. After years as a dutiful support act (opening tours for such heavyweights as My Morning Jacket, The Raconteurs and The Black Keys), slowly building their own loyal following, grinding it out, the Philadelphia psych-pop band set out on their first tour as a headliner this year and absolutely killed it! They have found their footing, come into their own, and are are truly a headliner-worthy band.

Before their sold-out MOKB sponsored show at Radio Radio, the band stopped by our VIBES II performance space to play some selections from the new album. When they saw our open performance space and graffiti mural (or "satanic backdrop" as they refer to it), they immediately began scouring the premises for "set" pieces and props. Ladders, milk crates, mirrors and even shrubbery from outside became part of the show. Much like Dr. Dog's music, our space slowly became a collage of odds and ends that the band blended with and became a part of.
