A couple go for an outrigger canoe ride at Wailea Beach in Maui as the help the crew of three slide the canoe along the sand and into the surf and ocean. They jump in, followed by two paddlers and off they go into the calm ocean waters. Next to them has been a family of four playing in the shoreline gentle surf, as a couple walks by on this sunny day.

We are standing in front of the Four Seasons Resort in Wailea, and the passengers in the canoe were probably guests of the hotel. In the far distance we see the island of Lanai on the left, then the smaller of the two volcanoes that make up the island of Maui comes into view. It's an enjoyable morning, and we listen to the tropical surf easily crash on shore and slide across the sand. Faint voices of happy beachgoers can be heard as they enjoy their vacation to this exotic destination.
