SNAEFELLSNES PENINSULA, ICELAND - EXPLORING ICELAND'S WEST COAST (DAY 4 - Part 1) 4K

On day 4 in Iceland, we left Reykjavik to start our road trip raound the island to explore the western part of Iceland and drive all the way to Isafjordur. First we drove for abut 2 hours to Snaefellnes Peninsula. Our fist stop was Budir and Budarkirkja (Black Church), then we drove to Arnastapi to walk around the coast and cliffs with many seagulls which were pretty aggressive. From Arnastapi we drove to another coastal town Hellnar. We decided to take the longer way and to drive around the coast to Kikjufell. It was very scenic ride! We enjoyed driving through Hellisandur because there was so many alaskan lupine flowers that it looked like lavender fields. We spotted a white church with red roof in the alaskan lupine flower field which was very picturesque. We learned it's called Ingjaldsholl Church. We stopped at Mt. Kirkjufell to check the Kirkufelfloss Waterfall. Our last stop at the peninsula was small fishing town Stykisholmur to get some fresh from the ocean Fish & Chips. To get there, we crossed an amazing sword looking like bridge. We took some drone shots from there which shows the sword. It was a long day with many hours of driving (total of 9) since we continued to Isafjordur via Dyjandi Waterfalls which will be coming up in our next video.
