DI Boxes Part 4: Stompbox/Pedal DIs

The fourth video in the DI box series, looking at stompboxes/pedals which also feature balanced outputs. These are effectively effects units and DI boxes in one package - the question is, can they be used as standard DI boxes if necessary?

This video examines how to manage the feature set on these types of DIs, using two good examples of the type: the Boss AD-3 acoustic instrument processor and the Tech 21 Sansamp Bass Diver DI. We also discuss how to connect these to a mixer and how to set gain, on both the pedal (if applicable) and on the mixer.
