After 56 years of flying troops and equipment to some of the most dangerous places on earth, the Royal Air Force's Hercules is retiring from service.

Known as the workhorse of the RAF, the Hercules has been the backbone of UK operational tactical mobility since the 1960s, working around the globe on military and humanitarian relief operations.

Forces News spoke with some of the aircraft's pilots and engineers, to hear their experiences of flying the 'Herc'.
