Converting a Military TA-1024A/U Field Telephone for Regular Phone Use

Описание к видео Converting a Military TA-1024A/U Field Telephone for Regular Phone Use

How to convert the very cool TA-1024A/U digital military field phone for regular civilian use. Warning for sensitive souls: beautiful digital military electronics that can’t be used get replaced with cheap analog consumer innards that can be used.
Warning for sensitive hears: my new mic cable picked up an awful 15.7 kHz high pitch whine, which I traced back to the LCD screen on my camera using an antique NTSC interface (15.7 kHz is the line rate of NTSC). How ironic for a retro tech channel. Sorry, can't fix the sound now that the video is uploaded.

And by the way, this phone used to connect to one of these monster military telephone switch on wheels, worth a look: http://radionerds.com/images/4/4b/TTC...
