Nasir al-Mulk Mosque | Iran's Stunning Pink Mosque

🕌The Pink Mosque in Iran, also known as Nasir al-Mulk Mosque, is one of the most beautiful and famous mosques located in the city of Shiraz. Built during the Qajar era, it is renowned for its stunning stained glass windows. When sunlight passes through these windows, the mosque’s interior is bathed in vibrant colors, creating a magical atmosphere. The delicate tile work and intricate architecture of Nasir al-Mulk Mosque make it one of Shiraz's top tourist attractions.

🕌Nasir al-Mulk Mosque is one of the most valuable mosques in Iran in terms of tilework, and in terms of construction, it is especially unique for its exquisite muqarnas. The mosque covers an area of 2,890 square meters, with a built-up area of 2,216 square meters. Pink is heavily used in its tiles, not only in the prayer hall but throughout the entire mosque. The extensive use of pink tiles in historical Iranian mosques is uncommon, which is why this mosque is also referred to as the "Pink Mosque of Iran."

This structure was commissioned by Ali Mulla Bashi, also known as Nasir al-Mulk, who was part of the Mulla Bashi dynasty. Its architecture was designed by Mohammad Hassan Mimar. The construction took approximately 12 years, spanning from 1876 to 1888.
