In that video, Kendall bravely charged many a windmill and victoriously slew countless strawmen… but did he ever engage Open Theism as it is actually taught? Not even close.

In this video, Chris Fisher ‪@realityisnotoptional‬ and Warren McGrew respond to Kendall’s claims, examine his arguments and separate caricature from reality.

R. T. Kendall is a former pastor of Westminster Chapel in London and a well-known evangelical author and speaker. He served at Westminster for 25 years, where his leadership brought charismatic emphases into a historically Reformed church, a move that many in the Reformed world found controversial. During his ministry he affirmed and associated with charismatic movements and figures, and his views on prophecy, revival, and the Holy Spirit were debated within evangelical circles. His theological shift proved controversial and contributed to division within Westminster Chapel and criticism from many in the Reformed community, who saw his embrace of charismatic renewal as a departure from the church’s historic identity.
