Significance of my research:
"The fortification of rice by parboiling with a limited-water soaking method has a great potential to alleviate micronutrient deficiencies worldwide while reducing the cost of fortification and wastewater treatment as well as the risk of harming the environment by disposal of nutrient-rich wastewater."

Why I am passionate about my Research:
"I am passionate about my research because it is a small but significant step towards the establishment of a more sustainable and resource-efficient food system that provides affordable and nutrient-rich food to many people."

Career aspirations after completing my program:
"After completing my PhD program, I would like to work in the field of research and product development in the cereal or bakery industry. My biggest goals for my future career are to develop food products that have a positive impact on consumers’ health and the environment, to establish and strengthen international connections, and to educate consumers, producers, as well as our future generations of food scientists."
