The former chairman of the defunct Electoral Commission of Kenya Samuel Kivuitu has died at the age of 74 slightly more than five years after he presided over the now infamous 2007 general election whose controversial results triggered ethnic violence across the country. The late Kivuitu whose death comes barely a week to the elections succumbed to throat cancer at the MP Shah hospital in Nairobi at around 10 pm last night. Judy Kosgei reports
