EL AMOR BRUJO, A COLLECTION BY ARTURO OBEGERO.

With this new collection, Arturo Obegero is paying tribute to the revolutionary 1924 ballet by Spanish composer Manuel de Falla. It celebrates Spanish folklore, from flamenco to a matador’s suit of light, and is an ode to the work of his creative heroes, couturiers Cristóbal Balenciaga and Yves Saint Laurent, director Carlos Saura, photographers Ruvén Afanador and Viviane Sassen, dancer Antonio Gades and multifaceted-artist Serge Lutens.

A FASHION FILM BY ARTURO OBEGERO.

Directed by Kelly Chan Wing Kiu and entirely shot on iPhone, the fashion film celebrating the collection is an ode to the contemporary creative process as well as an homage to the late Carlos Saura. The story is led by Arturo as the guardian of secret who influences the destinies of four troubled souls, through his creations.

Collaborating with an international team of talents including cinematographer Safran Lecuivre, choreographer and movement director Leonardo D’Aquino, editor Adrian Lam, and Hidden Mountain Sound Studio, the film is a theatrical behind-the-scenes rendition of the making of the collection and the director’s longest project to date. It stands out for its deep focus on craftsmanship, offering viewers a rich, theatrical experience.

Shot on iPhone, Made on iPad, Edited on Mac.
