This unit is one of 5 identical 2020 Mercedes Vito/ BTS command units for all 5 (professional) fire stations in the city.

At 0:24 the driver accidentally pressed the wrong button which turned off the siren. This is why I'm absolutely no fan of the outdated 8 (and more) button light & siren controllers. There's a huge risk that the driver presses a wrong button, you always need to remember the layout and those controllers just have 0 quick overview. I don't understand how those can still be installed in modern emergency vehicles in Germany/ Europe.
Personally I think that the controller in this video is by far the best and safest one ever made:    • [Audi S8 / Whelen Liberty II TRIO] Czech E...   Primary light & siren control can be done absolutely blind (without any distraction!) with a slide switch for the lights (3 modes) as well as a turn knob for the siren. Two large buttons to the right for the manual siren and horn. Three large buttons below for the traffic advisor/ rear warning options (with a visual indicator to the left). 8 buttons at the top for other (usually on scene) functions. I love that simple, safe and logic layout!
Siren mishaps like in this video wouldn't happen.

Bei dem Fahrzeug handelt es sich um 5 identische 2020er Mercedes Vito/ BTS Kommandowagen (KdoW) für alle 5 Feuerwachen der BF Dresden.

In der Beschreibung ist ebenfalls etwas Geschichte (mit Video Links) zu Dresden's KdoW's sowie ein näherer Blick auf die Blaulichtanlage, einschließlich Hintergedanken der Planung, zu finden.

Bei 0:24 wird ausversehen der falsche Knopf gedrückt - statt der Wechsel zum anderen Signal ist der Ton weg. Dies ist einer der Gründe, weshalb ich persönlich absolut kein Fan der veralteten 8 (und mehr) knöpfigen Bedieneinheiten bin. Das Risiko, etwas falsches zu drücken, ist einfach viel zu groß - vorallem in Stresssituationen wie Einsatzfahrten, wo Fehler und jegliche Ablenkung äußerst riskant sind. Hinzu kommt, dass jede Bedieneinheit unterschiedlich ist, man sich die Verteilung der Knöpfe entweder gut merken muss (was eigentlich keine Priorität sein sollte!) oder ständig kurz abgelenkt ist, wenn man erst Knöpfe suchen und/ oder beim Drücken hinschauen muss. Für mich absolut nicht nachvollziehbar, wie solche Bedieneinheiten überhaupt noch in der heutigen Zeit verbaut werden können.
Die mit Abstand beste und sicherste Bedieneinheit für die Sondersignaltechnik ist diese:    • [Audi S8 / Whelen Liberty II TRIO] Czech E...  
Primäre Blaulicht- und Signalfunktionen können absolut blind (ohne jegliche Ablenkung!) ausgeführt werden. Der Kippschalter (mit 1 + 3 Stufen) für die Blitzmuster sowie ein Drehknopf für die Signale.
Zwei große Knöpfe rechts sind für das manual und horn (alternativ anders belegbar bzw. programmierbar). Drei Knöpfe unten für die traffic advisor/ Heckwarnoptionen (mit Leuchtanzeige links davon). 8 weitere Knöpfe oben für weitere (normalerweise am Einsatzort relevante) Funktionen. Klar muss man das erstmal fix kennenlernen, aber einmal genutzt und man will nichts anderes. Ich persönlich finde das einfache, sichere und logische Layout einfach genial! Solche Missgeschicke und Ablenkung bei der Bedienung wie hier im Video würden damit nicht passieren.
