In today's video, I discuss the inflation report today, which is expected to ease by 0.1% percent when including energy and gas, but actually go up by .3% when not including those items. This report will be especially important for those on social security benefits, including SSI and SSDI, who look to be receiving anywhere between $150 to $175 extra in their benefits next year from the cost of living adjustment. Since those receiving social security benefits, SSI, and SSDI have been struggling to get by with 40 year high inflation, this will certainly be welcoming news. Some people on social security retirement have even had to return to the workforce in order to get by with rising costs and being on a fixed income. Other than discussing the $1800 increase for social security benefits, there's another bill called the Social Security Expansion Act, which would increase benefits for those on social security, including SSI and SSDI by $200 per month, or $2400 per year.
