I recently discovered this treasure of music by Roy Hargrove (rip) and it's basically more of what I want much more of.
it's a star-studded cast of musicians including but not limited to Pino Palladino, Deangelo (featured on this track), Eryka Badu, James Poyser, Cornell Dupree, Spanky Alford, etc.
I love the simplicity of this track in terms of bass and everything really. It allows me to focus on timing and note placement and not so much on the moving parts. I also love how long it is, some songs you hope never end and some songs are 7 mins long and that's great too.
I post my with mistakes because I make mistakes.
