From 1974-76, Tony Orlando and Dawn (Telma Hopkins and Joyce Vincent) hosted a hit variety show, taped at the same studios, CBS Television City, in Studio City, CA, as The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour which left the air in June 1972. Thus it's fitting that the January 14, 1976 episode, opened with Gentle On My Mind, just like Glen's show opened with for its 3.5 seasons on CBS.

In fact, there were a number of behind the scenes personnel from Glen's show who were part of Tony O & Dawn's show, one such person was Roger Carroll, who was the announcer on the Goodtime Hour for a couple of seasons. He can be heard introducing the show at the end of the video.
