This webinar was part of a plant pathology certificate program for county Extension agents at the University of Kentucky. The 8-part series provided how-to guidance for making site visits and diagnosing disease problems in the landscape and field.

Identification of plant diseases can be difficult. However, an understanding of microorganisms responsible for disease, as well as appropriate field and office tools, can improve sample collection and disease identification. This series was divided into 8 webinars and a hand-on practicum. The webinar series is available online. The concepts taught here can be applied to a wide range of plant types and are universally applicable.
