Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan has clashed with Vivek Ramaswamy on how to end the Russia-Ukraine war after the Republican presidential candidate suggested a “deal” he would offer Vladimir Putin.

The presidential candidate said he would issue a proposal for the Russian President to exit his military alliance with Chinese President Xi Jinping in return for a “hard commitment” that NATO will not admit Ukraine to the intergovernmental military alliance.

Mr Ramaswamy said if the deal is agreed upon, they would “freeze the current lines of control”, arguing the territories President Putin has invaded are Russian-speaking regions.

“You would literally give Putin what he has stolen?” the Sky News Australia host questioned Mr Ramaswamy.

“You would give an evil dictator land he has stolen by killing people? You would give him the land?”

The presidential candidate tried to argue that he wouldn’t give Putin what he has stolen but would “give him a deal”.

“What threatens the United States of America? The Russia-China alliance,” he told Mr Morgan.
