第十三番札所　大日寺
●寺の歴史/縁起
弘仁6年（815）、この地で修行中の弘法大師のもとに大日如来が現れ、「この地は霊地なり、心あらば一宇を建立せよ」と大師に告げました
大師は早速大日如来を刻んで本尊とし、堂宇を建てて安置しました
寺名はこのことに因んでます
のちに阿波の総鎮守である一宮神社が建てられた時、この寺がその別当寺になりました
明治時代の神仏分離令により、一宮神社にあった十一面観世音菩薩は大日寺に移され本尊となり、もともとの本尊の大日如来は脇待仏になりました
今では、道を挟んでその昔は阿波の総鎮守だった一宮神社が建っています
徳島市内にある5つの札所の最初の寺がこちら大日寺です
●見どころ
奥の院建治寺（こんちじ）
大日寺より5km離れた山中には十三番札所の奥の院とされる建治寺があります
もともと修験の祖として知られる役小角（えんのおづぬ）が開いた修行の地とされている寺です
護摩祈祷をする住職を介して授けられる言葉は、悩み事解決の霊示「おうかがい」とも呼ばれ、病気、先祖からの因縁、霊的な障害などあらゆることが解るといいます
その言葉のおかげで不眠症や神経症が快方に向かった例もあるとか
弘法大師もここで荒行に励んだと言われる場所です
本尊は金剛蔵王大権現です
しあわせ観音
門の正面には、幸せを願い祈る多くの参拝者に親しまれている、「しあわせ観音」と言われる観音像がみえます
合掌をしている両手の中に小さな観音像が入った観音様です
しあわせ観音の裏側には小さな池があり竜王像を取り囲むように七福神像が建っていたり、境内には水子地蔵、子安地蔵尊も祀られているので、手を合わせていきましょう

＃13 Dainichi-ji
●About this temple
In 815, Dainichi Nyorai appeared to Kobo Daishi, who was training in this area, and told him, ``This land is a spiritual place, and if you have the heart, build a shrine.''
Daishi immediately carved Dainichi Nyorai and made it the principal image, built a hall and enshrined it there.
The name of the temple comes from this
Later, when Ichinomiya Shrine, the general guardian of Awa, was built, this temple became its Bettoji.
Due to the Separation of Shinto and Buddhism ordinance during the Meiji period, the Eleven-faced Kanzeon Bosatsu that had been at Ichinomiya Shrine was moved to Dainichi-ji Temple and became the principal image, and the original principal image, Dainichi Nyorai, became a side-machibutsu.
Today, across the road stands Ichinomiya Shrine, which used to be the guardian deity of Awa.
This is Dainichiji Temple, the first of the five temples in Tokushima City.

●Point to watch around
Okunoin Kenjiji Temple
In the mountains 5km away from Dainichi-ji Temple is Kenji-ji Temple, which is said to be the inner temple of the 13th temple.
This temple was originally established as a place of ascetic training by Enno Ozunu, known as the founder of Shugen Shugen.
The words given through the chief priest who performs the Goma prayer are also called ``Oukagai,'' a spiritual message that will help resolve your worries, and are said to be able to help you understand everything from illness to ancestral connections to spiritual obstacles.
There are cases where insomnia and neurosis have been cured thanks to these words.
This is also the place where Kobo Daishi is said to have practiced atrocities.
The principal image is Kongo Zao Daigongen.

Happiness Kannon
In front of the gate, you can see a Kannon statue known as ``Happiness Kannon,'' which is beloved by many worshipers who pray for happiness.
This is a statue of Kannon with a small statue of Kannon in his palms clasped together.
There is a small pond behind the Shiawase Kannon, and statues of the Seven Lucky Gods are built around the Ryuo statue, and Mizuko Jizo and Koyasu Jizo are also enshrined in the grounds, so let's join hands together.
