Brzezica - pieśni Sobótecka w krótko nocka (Śląsk opolski) i Wysła burzycka (krakowiacy zachodni)

Brzezica is a Polish group interested in old traditional songs from the Slavonic part of the world and incorporating traditional vocal techniques in their folk/world music interpretations of the songs. We are also interested in the oldest mythological, symbolic and ritual contents of the songs. We have pursued these interests for years, having worked with such local groups as KISA, Piwnica Śpiewu Tradycyjnego, Baby, Wte i nazod and Kuczeryki. We cooperated with the medieval Slavonic folk band Jar as "Jarzyca" and with the hurdy-gurdy player Sobierad.

Currently, joined by drummer Mikołaj and an electronics shaman Adam (Forgotten Deity) we are exploring Heathen-themed shamanic sounds which you will hear on our first self-standing album entitled "Oskoła", coming this Fall.
