Vintage-Inspired Christmas at Hotel Emma | Historic Industrial Hotel Walkthrough. San Antonio Texas
This video is a little different from my usual vintage finds — but it fits perfectly with my love for historic spaces, preservation, and repurposed architecture. We spent three days at Hotel Emma in San Antonio from December 23–26, and this vlog documents the stay through a vintage lens rather than a typical luxury travel perspective.
The video begins with our arrival at Hotel Emma, taking in the atmosphere and first impressions of this iconic, repurposed building. From there, I move into a walk-through of the hotel, showing the overall layout, textures, materials, and details that immediately set the tone and hint at the building’s industrial past.
Next, I share a hotel room reveal, walking through the space and how it blends comfort with historic character. After that comes a closer look at the mini fridge and snack setup, including all the thoughtfully provided goodies that made the stay feel personal and lived-in rather than overly polished.
Later in the video, I slow things down and go deeper into the historic and industrial details of the hotel, talking through the preserved architectural elements, original materials, and intentional design choices that allow the building’s history to remain visible. This is where I explain why Hotel Emma resonates with my channel — it doesn’t erase its past, it honors it.
The vlog also captures quiet holiday moments and time spent around the Pearl District, but the heart of the video is really about experiencing a place that feels timeless, textured, and rooted in history.
