Sankey Diagram for Data Transfer

Origin 2024 supports specifying Sankey diagram’s node display name by a specified column. This video shows the whole process of creating a Sankey diagram of data transfer process in different periods(1989-2000- 2014).

First it creates two extra columns with unique function to extract category + year unique entries in Start and End columns, and token function to get the category part only. After plotting Sankey diagram, it shows how to index node color and name to the extracted category column and customize the display, how to drag to adjust the node orders, etc.

Please note that the "Hide if Less than ( % )" will only be available in coming Origin 2024b. In Origin 2024, user can hold down Ctrl key and double click a node to customize the display.
