Our second Costa Rica travel vlog gives you three very different Airbnb experiences around the sleepy surf town of Montezuma on the Nicoya Peninsula. We hire an incredible local tour guide named Mario (see contact info below) and we experience pura vida Costa Rica first hand as we explore bioluminescence in Ballena Bay, baby sea turtles heading to the ocean, and authentic Costa Rican corn tortilla making from a wonderful local woman. It was so heartwarming to spend time with her learning traditional cooking in her culture. If you are considering Costa Rica expat living, you might enjoy the Montezuma area.

In 2019, we achieved our goal of visiting every state in the union in our Airstream. We also visited every national park in the lower 48. We are big believers in lists, so of course we plan to see the remaining 12 parks in the next few years.

In 2021, we made the big decision to extreme downsize to just a suitcase and a small backpack, each. We started our journey around the world beginning in Central America. We hope that over the next ten years, we will have seen many beautiful things, made many memories and new friends, and shared the experience with our children and grandchildren.
