Coconut-Glazed Shrimp & Mango Skewers — Basil + Ginger Magic! Sweet mango + shrimp + basil + glaze—fast protein bites with tropical flavor.

DESCRIPTION
These tropical skewers combine fresh basil-wrapped shrimp and juicy mango balls finished with a coconut aminos glaze. Cook them in minutes on a grill or grill pan. The sauce can be reduced ahead for fast entertaining and glucose-friendly meal prep. Perfect appetizers, protein snacks, or served on top of greens for a balanced bowl.

INGREDIENTS
Shrimp + Mango Skewers
• 16 jumbo shrimp or prawns (peeled + deveined)
• 16 large basil leaves
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• ¼ teaspoon salt
• ¼ teaspoon pepper
• 1–2 mangoes → cut into balls with melon baller or spoon
Coconut Aminos Glaze (Five Sauce)
• ¼ cup coconut aminos
• ½ cup coconut sugar
• 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
• 1 teaspoon grated ginger
• ¼ teaspoon sesame oil

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Make glaze: Combine coconut aminos, sugar, vinegar, ginger, and sesame oil in a small saucepan.Cook on low heat 8 minutes until slightly thickened. Set aside.
2. Season shrimp: Toss shrimp with olive oil, salt, & pepper.
3. Assemble skewers: Place a basil leaf over each shrimp and secure with toothpick.
Alternate shrimp + mango balls onto toothpicks for mini kebabs.
4. Cook: Grill skewers on a grill or preheated grill pan:
o 2–3 minutes per side
o brush glaze lightly during final minute
5. Serve: Arrange skewers on platter.
Drizzle remaining glaze or serve as dipping sauce.

Temperature: 400°F / 205°C
Fresh skewers:
• 4–5 minutes
• flip or rotate halfway
Frozen skewers (raw frozen):
• 6–7 minutes total
• cook 4 min → brush glaze → 2–3 min
Notes:
• keep skewers in single layer
• brush glaze near end to avoid burning

Broiler Shrimp–Mango Skewers
Oven setting: HIGH broil, top rack
Fresh:
• 2–3 minutes per side
Frozen:
• 3–4 minutes per side
Brush glaze during last 30–60 seconds to caramelize without burning.
