Line 6 Helix 3.11 - Badonk, Fatality, 2204 Mod - Ownhammer (r)Evolution 412 TRAD V30 IR

I was playing around with some of the Line 6 Helix original amp models: the Badonk, Fatality, and the 2204 Mod. I used an Ownhammer IR from the MES 412 TRAD library in the (r)Evolution series.

I panned the Badonk to the left, Fatality to the right, and dialed the 2204 Mod down 10dB in the center.

I was dialing in as I went along. I liked the single note lines either the mids and bass dialed back on the Badonk and Fatality. I liked adding a bit of mids back in on the chords with the 2204 Mod mixed low.

I used an Ibanez SZ520QM guitar with a Wolfetone Marshallhead bridge pickup on all the guitar tracks. DI tracks were recorded with an HX Stomp, and Helix Native was dialed in after. Helix Native version is 3.11, so the models have the oversampling improvements from v3.10.

Bass was played on a Dean Paramount Bass through the Helix SVT Brt model. Drums were done on Toontrack’s Progressive Foundry SDX.
