Kuki black day || Survivors-account Joupi Incident

Описание к видео Kuki black day || Survivors-account Joupi Incident

Sahnit traditionally observed for three days in cases of unnatural death. In regard to the incident of 13 September 1993, when 87 innocent, unarmed village folk of Joupi in Tamenglong Dstrict, Manipur were massacred, and additionally, the 900-plus victims of Kuki genocide committed by Tangkhul-led Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagaland - Isak & Muivah during 1992-1997, Sahnit-Ni(Kuki Black Day) is also observed as a commemoration.

Sahnit-Ni has been observed for the past twenty-five years as the issue eludes proper closure, owing to NSCN (IM)’s continued denial of its part in the genocide and total apportion of blame to the Naga Limguard, contrary to the United Naga Council, Manipur Report 1992-1997: ‘The Naga underground has helped the Naga Limguard ….’

It is pertinent to note that the Kukis killed from 1992-1997 are not victims of conventional warfare; they were targets of the brainchild, NSCN (IM) and its cadres in full army fatigues.
The youtube channel is dedicated to victims of Kuki genocide.
