Double Reed Plate Marine Band Deluxe Harmonica Review

Double reed plate harmonicas have been around for a little while now. John Cook a Hohner affiliated repairer, customiser and harmonica developer here in the UK has made some prototype marine Band deluxe double reed plate harmonicas. He was kind enough to lend one to me to try out and in return I said I would review it for Harmonica UK and also post a video review on my YouTube channel. The theory behind double reed plate harmonicas is that, with a thicker reed plate the harmonica reeds have a deeper slot in which to vibrate and are therefore able to give more volume and greater expression. Let's find out.
