DSCC Outreach at the 2024 Illinois State Fair

Our team returned to the Illinois State Fair on Aug. 8-11 for a great four days of outreach and connection.

We shared information about the Division of Specialized Care for Children (DSCC) with fair attendees at our DSCC tent and had the opportunity to help staff the Sensory Station.

The Sensory Station provided a dedicated quiet and calming space for fair visitors with sensory-processing needs.

The station had noise canceling headphones, calming pods, a stuffed animal “petting zoo,” and more.
