BSN FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS GAME OF THE WEEK: NO.17 VENICE INDIANS AT NO.8 COCOA TIGERS:

BSN brings you this State Top 20 matchup as the No.17 Venice Indians travel across the Florida peninsula to Richard ‘Dick’ Blake Stadium to take on the No.8 Cocoa Tigers.

Cocoa is coming off of a big week one road win over previous Orlando No.1 Jones while Venice enters the game after a week one home loss to an underrated Armwood.

The Indians are led by a pair of transfers in five star WR/DB and FSU commit Charles Lester III and three star QB and Central Michigan commit, Jadyn Glasser

The Tigers were led by their defense last week as the unit registered 10 sacks and forced four turnovers in the 22-20 win over Jones.

Uncommitted four star edge rusher Javion Hilson registerd three sacks. Linebackers Sanadrea Hawkins and Davion Parham combined for 21 tackles, and Hawkins forced a big fumble he nearly returned for a defensive touchdown.

The Tigers offense mustered a tough 224 yards last week as sophomore running back Latriston Lane grinded out 69 yards on the ground. Sophomore QB Brady Hart played well at times in the win passing for 123 yards and a touchdown pass to Nicky Teeter but he must avoid the turnovers that put the Tigers defense in a hole at times.
