Previously, I hooked up the footswitch from a guitar amp to an Arduino and used it to stop and start a Pocket Operator. In this video, I use it to turn the chord volume up and down, using a stepper motor.

The little tune is put together from scraps of a couple of different Carter USM tracks I was working on.
