The 642 N2 was bought by Ferrari in 1957 and was converted by Bartoletti in order to have a workshop to repair cars and a place where the drivers of the truck could sleep and relax (the trips in order to go on tracks such as SPA-Francorchamps or Nurburgring were really long and difficult during the 50s and 60s). The 642 was sold by Ferrari in 1963 and was used by a coveyor from Modena. In 1988 it was found in a shed near Cremona, Italy in very bad shape: only the engine worked properly, but the body had been attacked by rust. The truck was bought by an American collector in 1988 and was restored.
There is another truck that was transformed by Bartoletti for Ferrari, a Fiat 682 N2. Probabily dated 1957 too.
