Thankfully, the process of making caramelized onions that are safe for dehydrating is super easy. It doesn't take long and the caramelized onions that you dehydrate and turn into powder are safe for long term food storage. This onion powder that you make in your food dehydrator makes a delicious dip, and it was so easy, that I'll likely use this recipe

Here's the recipe for the dip:

1 tablespoon dehydrated caramelized onion powder
2 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream

I doubled the recipe, and added 1 teaspoon beef bouillon granules and 1/2 tablespoon dehydrated onion flakes for additional flavor.
