This is how the Divas Title got retired. At Night of Champions 2015, Charlotte faced Nikki Bella for the Divas Title, where Charlotte tapped out Nikki with the Figure Eight to win the title. At Royal Rumble 2016, Becky Lynch faced Charlotte for the same title. Ric Flair threw the jacket on Becky’s head, the ref was distracted, Charlotte went for Becky’s eyes and hit her with a spear to retain the title. Sasha Banks made her return, attacked Charlotte and caught her with the Bank Statement until she passed out. A month later, Becky faced Sasha for a chance at Charlotte’s title. Sasha caught Becky with a sunset flip powerbomb and they pinned each other at the same time, ending in a draw. Sasha and Becky met again on Smackdown. Charlotte attacked both of them, ending in a no contest. Then Charlotte was informed she will defend the title against both of them at WrestleMania. On the preshow of WrestleMania, Lita revealed the new Women’s Championship. On the main show, Becky, Sasha and Charlotte met for the title. Charlotte threw Sasha out of the ring, caught Becky with the Figure Eight, Flair stopped Sasha from entering the ring, Becky tapped out and Charlotte won the title, thus retiring the Divas title.
