In the spring of 2024, Oak Point University in Oak Brook, Illinois, announced its abrupt closure, leaving students in the midst of their nursing programs uncertain about their futures. Amid this uncertainty, Lewis University stepped in to provide a lifeline.

Through a teach-out agreement, Lewis University ensured that all Oak Point nursing students could transfer their credits seamlessly, continue their education without interruption, and graduate on time.
