I replaced the power steering fluid in my 1994 Mercedes Benz C280 without know exactly when it was last replaced. Nevertheless, I wanted to 'reset' the clock on my own terms and at about 95,000 miles. Flushing power steering fluid should happen every 60,000 miles or so. I also had to replace a section of power steering hose because it was badly cracked--I didn't know it before starting but was thinking it was bad because it looked 'soggy'. Total time spent on the project including pre-work preparation, orienting my helper, and clean up was about 3 - 3 1/2 hours. I did have a lunch break as well.
