The yellow-brow monk argues that the essence of life is found in the intense emotions and experiences that fuel the vitality of the Three Realms, asserting that joy and sorrow are inseparable and necessary for true enlightenment. In contrast, the young monk maintains that the pursuit of fleeting pleasures leads to an endless cycle of suffering, suggesting that true enlightenment comes from transcending these desires. Their differing views underscore the complexity of seeking truth and understanding the meaning of life.
