I have always loved Jimmy Macbride's playing and I often try to emulate his sense of completely relaxed, yet totally powerful drumming. I found a live video of him from a few years back playing with Lage Lund and decided to transcribe the first bit of his solo to get a better feel for how he develops ideas.
