This tutorial will show you how to grow Venus flytraps and sundews from seed using the Carnivorous Growarium kit by Unique Gardener.

I bought this kit at hobby lobby for around $15 and has everything you need to get started.

Instructions:

IMPORTANT: Make sure you ONLY use distilled water or collected rain water when growing Venus Flytraps or Sundews.

1 - Remove everything from the kit, and measure 3/4 cup of distilled or collected rain water.

2 - Place the included soil pellet in a bowl and pour the distilled water on it. The pellet will soak up the water and gradually you can mix it up and aerate it until it forms a mixture.

3 - When your soil is prepared, place it in the terrarium using a spoon. Fill the terrarium bottom up to about 1/4 from the bottom lip of the opening.

4 - The seeds are very tiny, so I recommend getting a folded piece of paper and open your packets over it. Pour the seeds onto the paper, where they will fall into the crease. You can then pour the seeds into a plastic spoon and sprinkle them on top of the soil.

5 - After you have finished placing the seeds on the soil, use the remaining mixture to cover the top of the soil. Add the included blue quartz rock.

6 - Find the clear, circular sticker which goes on the front opening of the terrarium.

7 - Keep your terrarium sealed with the circular sticker and only remove when you begin to water your plants in about 4-6 months. Watering is only necessary once per week.

8 - Place the terrarium in a location that receives bright, indirect sunlight.
