Thru-Hike, an award winning documentary on the PCT is not your typical hiking movie.

In this personal journey essay film a disillusioned stagehand endeavours to Thru-Hike all 2,650 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail to re-align his soul but discovers that moving through his past is just as difficult as the physical journey ahead.

Shot in 2010 with a Canon Elph and Olympus Stylus, Thru-Hike explores themes of male identity such as the fear of commitment, loss of a father and military service backdropped by the epic physical challenge of hiking from Mexico to Canada. Thru-Hike offers viewers a different story about hiking the PCT. It is one that is deeply personal, raw and focuses on the inner journey. In doing so it honours the golden rule of "hike your own hike" and reminds us that while you might share the trail, the path is your own.
