Sohei Oyamada profile
Oyamada was born in Fukuoka Japan in 1984.
In 2007, Oyamada led the band 「andymori」as the lead guitar and vocalist, and started performing around the Tokyo area.
The next year, a year after their formation, the band released their first EP Andy to Rock to Bengaru Tora to Uisukii(,アンディとロックとベンガルトラとウィスキー "Andy and Rock and Bengal Tiger and Whiskey")
Their music resonated within core music fans, leading to their expanded activities and tours around Japan.
In 2009, the band released their self-titled album「andymori」.
In 2010, they released their second album, Fanfare to Nekkyo(ファンファーレと熱狂, "Fanfare and Enthusiasm") which won the 3rd annual CD Shop Award.
In 2011, they released their 3rd album Kakumei (革命, "Revolution")、in 2012 their 4th album Hikari (光, "Light") and in 2013 their 5th album Uchū no Hate wa Kono Me no Mae ni (宇宙の果てはこの目の前に,"The Edge of the Universe Is Before These Eyes").
In October of 2014, 「andymori」disbanded.
The next month in November, Oyamada established his own label, Sparkling Records.
In July 2015, Oyamada and fellow singer songwriter Tomoyuki Nagasawa announced the start of a new project titled 「AL」 along with bassist Hiroshi Fujiwara and drummer Hiroki Goto.
They released their first album Kokoro no Naka no Shikishi「心の中の色紙　"The heart's colored paper"」in April of 2016 through the independent label Revival Records, and their second album 「NOW PLAYING」 in January of 2018.
Oyamada has also pursued his own solo career releasing his independently produced record 「2018」which he sold in his solo acoustic tour in 2018.
In August 2020 he released his first full solo album titled「THE TRAVELING LIFE」which was released through a major label.
Since 2016 he has been regularly touring Japan as a solo acoustic artist.
