The 1999 Austrian Grand Prix was the ninth race of the 1999 Formula One season. It was won by Eddie Irvine for Ferrari, his second victory of the season and his first at the A1-Ring. David Coulthard finished second for McLaren, while Mika Häkkinen took third after starting from pole position. Minardi drivers Luca Badoer and Marc Gené finished 16th and 17th respectively, both three laps down.
F1 Challenge '99 - '02 is based on four Formula One seasons: the 1999 season, the 2000 season, the 2001 season, and the 2002 season. It was the last Formula One video game to be published by EA Sports until F1 2021, when EA purchased Codemasters. The game features all the drivers, teams, and tracks from each season, as well as realistic physics, damage, and weather effects.
