We visited the market on May 5, 2023 to buy Goan palm jaggery, some pottery items, light summer wear, and salted mackerel pickle (parra). We also picked up some fresh drumsticks and a large hunk of Goan fruit cake from St Francis bakery.

At Mapusa Friday Market, you will get fresh produce of Goan fruit and veg like jaggery, nirponnos (breadfruit), jackfruit, tambdi bhaji (amaranthus), coconuts, teflam (triphala), maadi and much more. There is a speciality wedding market for bangles, henna, etc. Clothes stalls are everywhere. There are even some antique item sellers sprinkled among the stalls.
