This is actually the branching point for Shu, but we're not doing that here. For this battle you HAVE to bring a companion, and the start of the stage is different depending on who you go with. You get a little mini-cutscene to start off. I went with Zhao Yun, so we had to fight our way to reach Zhang Fei and push forward to get Liu Bei to safety past all of Cao Cao's forces, with Zhuge Liang helping us with reinforcements along the way. Some forces stay behind to hold off Cao Cao's forces to give Liu Bei the time he needs to get away.

We fight Bailuan at the end too, but he doesn't directly stop Liu Bei, he just watches, trying to come to his own conclusion on if Liu Bei endangering the lives of the peasants by bringing them with him is the right thing to do.

The branching point is going back to defeat Cao Cao and push him out of Jing, but we'll cover that later.
