Should you get a financial advisor? What is a better option than getting a financial advisor?

This is particularly interesting if you're new in investing, or if you're thinking of investing in different asset classes, or if you've accumulated lots of wealth and are considering investment options.

I'm generally not a big fan of financial advisors. Lots of them don't really know what they're doing. They're usually not good investors themselves. I don't think they're likely to do a really good job for you.
So what can you do? If you don't know much yourself, and an investment advisor is not the best option who do you listen to?
Are accountants and lawyers a better option? No, not really.

What do I recommend doing? Coinvesting with someone who really knows what they're doing. These are people who are putting their own money on the line and who are massively incentivized to get returns.
Instead of looking for investment advisors, you should look for people who are investing and co-invest with them.
This way you can get a much better insight into what's a good investment that makes money, and what doesn't.
You need to find people who are good at what they're investing in and join them. Results don't lie.
So your network is your net worth.
